Taylor Lane and the Ciggy Boards

Taylor Lane (California), Ciggy Board creator, uses the surfboards to start conversations and explore tangible solutions to better understand how to protect and restore the health of the ocean. The Ciggy Boards are the vessel, platform, and connective thread between all the ocean activists featured in the film.

Mikey February

Mikey February (South Africa), a professional surfer who increases accessibility to the ocean for kids through organizations like Sentinel Ocean Alliance, utilizes the joy of surfing as a positive tool to help change lives.

Fergal Smith

Fergal Smith (Ireland), a former professional surfer who abandoned his career to create a community-based regenerative farm to “give back” to the ocean, reveals how all our actions on land directly affect the ocean.

Easkey Britton

Easkey Britton (Ireland), a professional surfer with a PhD in Environment and Society, explains the scientific benefits of a healthy ocean for everyone, whether coastal or landlocked,  and therefore why it needs protecting.
